Privacy notice

This notice explains how the association responsible for this site processes the personal data collected through its contact form, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). The site uses no tracking cookies, no analytics and no third-party services.

Data collected

When you use the contact form, we collect the data you enter: your first name, last name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message.

To limit abuse, we also compute an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of your IP address and a fingerprint of your email address. The form does not store your IP address itself.

Purposes

Your data is used only to receive and handle your message, to reply to you and to send you an automatic acknowledgement that quotes the text of your message. The fingerprints are used to limit the number of submissions and to protect the form against abuse. We do not use your data for any other purpose and we do not sell it.

Hosting and storage

The site, the form and the association’s mailbox are hosted by Infomaniak, in Switzerland. Your message is delivered to the association’s mailbox, where it is kept. As on any web server, the host may record technical logs (including visitors’ IP addresses) to keep the service secure and running.

Retention

How long your message is kept: TODO(client)

The submission counters tied to the fingerprints of your IP address and email address are used for 24 hours only; they are then deleted from the server, at the latest when a message is next sent through the form.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to your data, its correction or its deletion, object to its processing or ask for a copy of it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Transfer of data abroad

Messages received in the association's mailbox are forwarded to a Gmail (Google) mailbox. Your data is therefore also transferred abroad, to the United States, where the level of data protection may differ from that of Switzerland.
